Two sessions a week

Walking Netball.
All of the game.

The same sport, played at a walk. Lower impact, gentler on the joints, and every bit as competitive as you want it to be.

Who it's for

Slower pace,
same game.

Backed by England Netball Walking Netball is England Netball's own version of the game, and Stacey runs it as a Back to Netball partner.

If the running is the bit putting you off, this is the answer. Walking Netball keeps everything good about the game and takes the sprinting out of it.

It suits anyone who wants to play without the physicality, players who have stepped back from the running game and still love it, and anyone returning from injury who wants to find their confidence again before stepping back up to Back to Netball.

You will still pass, shoot, defend and play proper matches. You just will not be chasing anybody down the court.

When & where

Two sessions
every week.

Both run alongside a Back to Netball session at the same venue, so you can move between them whenever you feel ready.

What to expect

Your first
session.

Turn up in comfortable clothes and trainers. That is genuinely all you need.

A proper welcome

Stacey will introduce you, explain how the session works and pair you up so you are never standing on your own wondering what happens next.

Warm up, then play

A gentle warm up, a bit of skills work, then match play. The rules are adapted for walking pace and explained as you go.

Go at your pace

Sit a bit out, come back in, take it as gently as you like. Nobody is timing you and nobody minds.

Stay for the chat

For a lot of players this is the real reason they come back. Netball first, but the company runs a close second.

Good questions

Before you
come along.

Do I need to have played netball before? +

No. Plenty of players arrive having never played, and the walking pace makes it a much easier place to learn than the running game.

I'm coming back from an injury. Is this suitable? +

It is one of the main reasons people come. Walking Netball is often used as a stepping stone back into the sport. Do check with your physio or GP first, and tell Stacey so she can keep an eye on you.

Can I move up to Back to Netball later? +

Whenever you like. Both Tuesday and Wednesday have a Back to Netball session running alongside at the same venue, so it is an easy step across.

How much is it and how do I book? +

Sessions start from £7.50. Message Stacey on 07771 627721 or email staceyavwilson@gmail.com and she'll tell you everything you need for your first session.
